    Happy Spring! I hope Spring Break for your family was enjoyable and restful. One of the highlights of the week for me was cleaning out my garden and discovering the growth of perennials! At last it seems more consistent mild temperatures will allow the natural beauty of this season to flourish. At Key School teachers take full advantage of our campus outdoor environment in developing teaching plans that engage students in playing, talking, observing, drawing, exploring, gardening, and eating together. I love to go walking on campus to hear and see Key's students learning and interacting with each other.

  • Chapin Living Waters

    For the last fourteen years, Chapin Living Waters has been helping people in third world countries grow vegetables in drought conditions. They offer simple, sustainable technologies for subsistence farming. Key School’s sixth graders and Kindergarteners employ Chapin’s bucket system to irrigate the School’s gardens and their efforts were featured in Chapin Living Waters’ April Newsletter.     Now entering its third year, the Chums Partnership that includes Key School, Somers Park School in Malvern, England, and Chumbageni School in Tanga, Tanzania, continues to flourish, involving more students in more Divisions at Key.

  • Senior Walkers

    Furthering the important relationships between Key’s oldest and youngest students is the Senior Walkers program. This voluntary program enlists seniors in accompanying Pre-School children from the morning drop-off area to their classrooms, thus making drop-off easier for Pre-School parents who elect this option.
