Another Exciting Chapter of the Annapolis Book Festival

Many thanks to the forty authors, hundreds of volunteers, and thousands of visitors who helped make the Annapolis Book Festival 2008 another success!

The annual event was presented by Verizon and other corporate and community sponsors.  SPONSORS 2008

Nearly 4,000 people listened, discussed, watched, questioned, read, played, shopped, ate, drank, and generally enjoyed themselves at the Festival held annually by The Key School Parents’ Association to celebrate literacy, a love of learning, and the written word.

Authors included legendary veteran journalist Helen Thomas, former presidential press secretary Dee Dee Myers, TV pundit Tom Oliphant, parenting experts Rosalind Wiseman, Bobbi Conner and Leonard Sax, biographer Madison Smartt Bell, romance writer Lauren Willig, historians Joseph Glatthaar and Charles Mitchell, White House pastry chef Ann Amernick, and more.…

In addition to talking with the authors, visitors were able to purchase their books as well as choose from hundreds of other new and used books. As if finding fantastic choices for summer reading wasn’t enough, families also had the opportunity to enjoy musical presentations from Nada Brahma and Tim King, see the magic of Joe Romano, and participate in a poetry slam led by Gayle Danley.
